It stresses language development and introduces at a simple level abilities and skills that are more fully developed in the new before we read. The first 48 pages is the teachers guidebook - all notes to teacher on how to teach the class. The next 48 pages is just like the student version of the book. In this book, children enjoy many stories told either in a single picture or in sequences of two or four scenes. These are episodes so full of fun and surprise from the lives of dick, jane, and sally that the emotions and reactions of the story characters are easily shared by all pupils.

There are no words in this title, but it is filled with lots of illustrations and story-pictures to introduce the youngest child to reading about half the pages (the ones with the black and white illustrations) are designed to be worked on, where some pictures need matched up by drawing a line, others need circled or colored, etc. A lot of the color pages consists of 4 illustrations per page and tell a "story" in sequence using pictures. There are about 10 of these. This book has never been used it is a fine collector copy in unused mint condition.
