Price reduced from $235 to $195. It's so rare to find this vintage charles of the ritz perfume, let alone with the original box and in near mint condition. In 1916, hairdresser charles jundt bought the beauty salon in the nyc ritz hotel and, within a few years, created his own cosmetic company, aptly named charles of the ritz. In later decades, the company marketed some fragrances at lower prices, but the perfume known simply as charles of the ritz, launched in 1977, was part of the tradition of high-end fragrances.
The company changed hands a few times a 1964 merger with lanvin, a 1987 sale to yves st. Laurent until, under revlon's ownership, the charles of the ritz brand was discontinued in 2002. This vintage charles of the ritz perfume, being a premiere example of the brand's fragrances, is a prized collectible today. Frankly, i've never seen a version like this, which checks all the boxes -- great condition, unopened bottle, original box, full contents, and perfect size. Plus, this is the perfume, not the lesser eau de toilette or spray.
