Japanese vintage haori (kimono jacket). Black with deer bagworm cocoon art. In japan there are not many craft people who make pictures using the cocoon of bagworm. Look at the group of deer jumping.
Look at the close ups. Each piece of cocoon dyed and cut carefully and sewn one by one.
Sounds a bit creepy but in fact the artwork almost feels like a soft thin cork material. It is a really amazing item - and deer pattern are rare too.The inside artwork of bamboo paint is also wonderful to look at. This pretty japanese vintage haori is a "kimono jacket" - to be worn over your kimono or simply coordinated with your normal clothes. It is never worn and flawless. Condition: flawless / new dead stock. Mitake (length): 80 cm / 31.4 in.
Yuki (middle neck to end of arm): 66 cm / 25.9 in. Mae haba (front panel width): 17 cm. Ushiro haba (back panel width): 28 cm.

+ the age and material of vintage/antique kimono and items in my shop are a rough estimation by best knowledge and can't be certified. + vintage kimono items are protected by a natural insect repellent - therefore may have a slight scent.
By purchasing you agree to that risk. + i always try to ensure photographing and describing the items as exact as possible. I may overlook something by mistake, however i can't be held responsible if the color varies slightly depending on your monitor settings. This item is made of silk. The style is asian and traditional.
