It was designed and named with women as their target market. It featured a light up dial that served as a night light and was advertised as it's little. It came in a wide variety of colors including turquoise, light blue, pink, moss green, gray, beige, ivory, white, yellow, red, and black, this listing is for what was known as turquoise in the 60's. To remedy this bell offered an optional lead weight that could be placed in the space where the ringer should go in the base. The later 702b models contained the ringer and i suspect are much lighter.Western electric made in the usa g3. Ear piece is dated inside. Super clean and disinfected with the dial removed and cleaned as well.
The turquoise/aqua body has minimal scuffs/scratches, very minor fading and age appropriate wear. The original cords are both a jadeite minty green color which i assume is due to sun fading. The dial rotates very smoothly. Between the 4 and 5 on the number faceplate and beneath the clear dial (not on the dial itself) there is a crack. Because it is under the dial and where it is located it is very hard to see and definitely doesn't take away from beauty of this gem. There is also a mark by the finger stop that may be a light scratch or hairline crack inside the plastic and was only found when using a magnifying glass, it is not very visible to look at. Please view all the pictures for they are part of the description and show the condition of the item. It contains the original cord with 4 prong wall plug.
